When your No. 1 goal is seeing a wild killer whale
our trips are your best option.
We have chosen the No. 1 spot
on Earth to see and encounter orcas in the wild.
A sea kayaking trip, our focus each day will be on seeing
and encountering orcas and other whales in the wild from land
and by kayak. Whales pass through the waters surrounding this camp
more than any other place on the planet and we'll be there when
they do.
Our Wild Orca Adventure trips have first-class elements: gourmet meals, exceptional, knowledgeable
guides, top quality kayaking and camping equipment, great support
from our staff, help with your travel plans, all from North America's
most experienced sea kayaking outfitter. We're also in one of the top
salmon fishing spots on the coast; we'll do our best to
supplement our meals with fresh, wild salmon.
It is early morning; a light mist covers the glassy water. Suddenly, in the distance you hear the sound of blow holes. You scan the horizon and then you see them; dorsal fins slowly, methodically, yet steadily progressing toward your kayak- a sight never forgotten. The exhilaration slowly builds to a crescendo as the 6 foot dorsal fin surfaces out of the water less than 5 yards from you and then submerges. There is only silence as you look from side-to-side. Then you look under your kayak only to see the dappled black and white side of an Orca; realizing that it has turned on its side to better visualize you or possibly to avoid hitting your kayak with his dorsal fin. For an instant, you have made a connection that will last a lifetime. Just as quickly as they appeared, they are gone; leaving you with only awe.
These personal experiences with orcas cannot be duplicated by any other means. Seeing these animals in a whale-watching boat is fascinating and exciting, but the sheer thrill and feeling of personal connection when seeing these great animals at close range, on their own terms is a life-changing experience. Please join us and our travel partner, Northern Lights, on one of our trips into the world of the Orca.
All post-tax donations from this trip will be used to help orca research and conservation. |
